THE GARY PATTERSON FOUNDATION
HOSTS ITS MOST SUCCESSFUL FUNDRAISER EVER
Fort Worth, TX (July 24, 2011) – Nearly 200 friends and supporters joined TCU Head Football Coach Patterson and his wife Kelsey at Joe T. Garcia’s on July 12 for a fun-filled night of charity. Guests were entertained by musician J.D. Monson, enjoyed the famous Mexican food of Joe T’s and had the opportunity to bid on dozens of auction items at the event.
The Sixth Annual Benefit Reception & Auction was emceed once again by Brian Estridge, Voice of the Frogs, who was joined on stage by Coach Patterson and golf professional J.J. Henry during the Live Auction. The trio worked together to sell several high-dollar items that made the event the largest fundraiser in the history of the Foundation.
“This event just keeps getting better and better,” said Gary Patterson, who serves as the Foundation Chairman. “Helping kids in the Fort Worth area means so much to Kelsey and me. To have our friends come out to support this every year in such a big way is very humbling.”
All funds raised by the Gary Patterson Foundation support local organizations and programs that provide positive educational, physical-fitness and life-skills opportunities for economically disadvantaged youth in the Fort Worth and surrounding communities. Already in 2011, the Foundation has awarded 23 grants, to organizations such as Presbyterian Night Shelter, KinderFrogs, Cook Children’s Medical Center, Junior Achievement and Communities in Schools of Tarrant County.
“The Gary Patterson Foundation aims to provide youth across our community with the tools to succeed,” said Kelsey Patterson, Foundation Secretary & Treasurer. “It takes a team effort to make a difference, and we are so proud to be associated with great people from Fort Worth who open their hearts to support a cause near and dear to Gary and me.”
The event was underwritten by Malcolm & Ann Louden. Other sponsors included Joe T. Garcia’s, Jack Daniel’s, Courtyard by Marriott and Rent-A-Frog Valet. |
